Celebrated around the world, Bloomsday commemorates June 16, 1904, the
day on which Leonard Bloom wandered through the pages of James Joyce’s
immortal novel, Ulysses, discovering much of the world, as well as him. Originally banned in the United States and the United Kingdom until 1933, Ulysses rocked the foundation of literature and altered the way fiction has been written and read ever since.
The celebration that day will center around the reading of Chapter 10 - “Cyclops” from the book Ulysses on the Visible Voice courtyard. This is event is free and open to the public.
