You know it's spring when the Tremont Gardeners schedule the Lincoln Park cleanup!

We will meet at the gazebo at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, to rake leaves, prune shrubs and dead grasses, pick up trash from the beds, etc. We probably will be there a couple of hours, so stop by and help or stop by and say hello.

If you're planning to help, please bring any garden tools you have, like pruners, rakes and brooms. We'll have heavy-duty garbage bags.

Tremont gardeners welcome anyone willing to work on one project or many projects, and you can be a new gardener or an expert gardener. We just like to dig in the dirt. And if you help us, you get a free t-shirt. Woo hoo!

And don't forget our spring flower sale is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, starting at 9 a.m. at the corner of Kenilworth and W. 14th in Lincoln Park. As ever, we will have the best prices in town for the best annuals and perennials available. In addition to flats of flowers, we will offer many quart-size pots of annuals and herbs, several types of perennials and hanging ferns.
