A Tremont resident has launched a chamber of commerce for Northeast Ohio’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.

Plexus, the new chamber of commerce, was started with a $30,000 grant from the Civic Innovation Lab, the Cleveland Foundation’s effort to spur economic development in Northeast Ohio. The chamber aims to assist lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender-owned companies network with each other and build their businesses, while advocating for those firms, said Eric Lutzo, president of Plexus and Forward Thought LLC, a leadership development and executive coaching firm in Tremont.
